It’s different. That’s why it’s good.

Nathaniel Hoho goes about music the old fashioned way. He moves from town to town performing to familiar faces and all new ones. He stays in one place only long enough to make new fans, new friends, entertain, and drop his latest album. It’s an old formula, but it works.

Relentless touring combined with the power of online promotion has turned Nathaniel into a shining fixture of the indie-music scene. Over the last two years he has been caught in a whirlwind tour of the Northeast United States, only taking a break to gig to California and back to promote his album, “Wait Until the Story Ends.”

His music, like his way of life, combines the best elements of modern indie-rock with 1960s folk-rock. This blend of styles has attracted fans of all ages, and has been particularly well received among the college crowd who most often compare him to Beck, Guster, or Dispatch.

Nathaniel Hoho captured his uniquely cross-genre style, imaginative lyrics, and colorful metaphors in his debut EP. He recorded and produced it himself, with a handful of his musician friends. They turned a barn into a makeshift recording studio and began work on this EP in his rural hometown of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. Initial tracks exceeded expectations, but fate intervened when, one night, a freak re broke out and reduced everything to cinders. A local recording studio owner, Marc Frigo, generously donated studio time to Nathaniel so that he could bounce back from this catastrophe and finish his album. “Wait Until the Story Ends” is the result of this effort.
