BIOGRAPHY

Meredith Godreau
is a guitarist, songwriter, violist, violinist
who began performing under the name Gregory and the Hawk (GATH) in 2003. A New York native, she is currently playing shows and recording in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley.

The soft poppy songs
of GATH's mostly-solo-acoustic sets
have received much of their attention through internet streaming and downloads (without the help of managers or labels) and have made special appearances at -

South Union Arts in Chicago, IL
Pickathon Roots Music Festival in Portland, OR
The Middle East in Cambridge, MA
Joe's Pub in New York, NY
Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY

GATH has frequented smaller clubs and dive bars in and around Brooklyn for the past three years as well, collaborating with Chris Garneau, Short Stories, and Toby Goodshank of The Moldy Peaches.
